I spend my time keeping Linux servers running, reading about empires that no longer exist, and occasionally breaking things on purpose just to learn how to fix them.

History, geography, the way complex systems rise and collapse — these things fascinate me as much as the ones I work with professionally. Lord of the Rings is also a valid area of expertise.
